Marie Oliva, President & CEO, of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber expressed: “This isn’t your average festival.  The community has a big stake in the event, helping to make sure the Fest is superbly organized and enjoyable.  Over 600 volunteers help man the Fest, of which they receive a T-shirt and great meal for a 4-hour shift.  It’s the type of event that truly brings everyone together for a great time.  And the economic stimulus for the town and the region is an added plus.”

Families will see spectacular views, listen to non-stop entertainment, have fun at the midway of rides for the kids, and enjoy the best scallops around. In addition to over 6,000 lbs. of scallops that will be consumed, people can also choose from herb-roasted chicken, lobster rolls, chowder, salads, raw bar, hamburgers, hotdogs, specialty coffees, desserts, and much more. Beer & Wine are also included.

“The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office inmate crew helps builds up the grounds the week before the Fest.  Then, after the Fest is over, the Barnstable County Sheriff’s crew does the reverse by breaking down the entire infrastructure in just 2 days!  We couldn’t do it without their help!” said John La Flamme, Chair of the Scallop Fest Task Force and General Manager of Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Cape Cod.

General Admission is only $5 - children 12 and under admitted FREE.  FREE parking  available.

The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber is a not-for-profit corporation that raises funds to help the community in various ways.  Proceeds from the Fest help fund the Chamber’s scholarship program for 4 area high schools, donate to 3 local food pantries & Friends of the Bourne Council on Aging, and contribute to the operation of 2 visitor centers that service the traveling public.
