July Jamboree Membership Drive
Nets over 150 Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber Members
The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber celebrates one of the most successful membership drives on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts culminating in over 150 members. An “All Star Team” made up of Chris Richards, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank; Richard Bruce, L.P.L. Financial Planning Services; and Lea Benson, Bristol County Savings Bank, sold the most memberships along with over 60 volunteers who helped man the phones at the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School.
Richard Hollis, of C.L. Hollis Insurance Company, and Chair of the Membership Drive stated: “I’m elated with the success of the drive and credit all the volunteers who helped make this happen. This was a community project that involved volunteers and businesses dedicated to making the Chamber stronger than ever.”
Oliva emphasized: “The region-wide drive showed that the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber offered exceptional value in services and extra benefits donated to us by area businesses. We clearly exceeded our goals and are now celebrating a membership of close to 700 members! The overall project included the help of over 25 businesses donating $3,200 worth of extra incentives for every business that joined including free radio and on-line advertising. Other businesses donated fantastic prizes for our volunteers, all of whom did a wonderful job over a two-day period. The project is an astonishing result of how important business is to the economic health of the region.”
Thanks to all our fantastic volunteers and to: The Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School offering their library for a phone bank, Membership Drive Chair, Richard Hollis of C.L. Hollis Insurance Agency; Prize Committee Chairs Teresa Paolini of Northeast Unlimited Tours, Sandwich, and Dee Forand of Hy-Line Cruises, Hyannis, and to the entire Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber whom participated in the drive.
A special networking celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22, 5:30pm at the newly renovated Bay Pointe Club, Onset. Event is open to all members and guests.
