South Shore Economic Development Bus Tour
Marie Oliva, President & CEO, of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber and Denis Hanks, Executive Director, of the Plymouth Area Chamber organized a South Shore Economic Development Bus Tour on Tuesday, May 15. The Tour attracted over 40 brokers, bankers, developers, and businesses interested in developable and rehabilitation properties. The six hour Tour included Rosebrook Park at A.D. Makepeace, Wareham Crossing, Bourne Bridge Crossing and other properties along Main Street, Buzzards Bay.
Marie Oliva narrated the tour in Bourne & Wareham, and emphasized the revitalization efforts now taking place on Main Street in Wareham with new streetscape improvements and Main Street, Buzzards Bay that includes the recently approved Growth Incentive Zone approved by the Cape Cod Commission, and new architectural standards and sign guidelines approved at a recent Bourne Town Meeting.
The Tour is part of the strategic plan of the new economic development agency approved by the State, the South Shore Canal Regional Economic Development District consisting of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber and the Plymouth Area Chamber.
